This June at AMC Theatres, prepare to travel through the Spider-Verse with your friendly, neighborhood Spider-Man, through a different multi-verse with the FLASH, or on an epic adventure with Indiana Jones. There is a wider variety of movies to choose from this month, including Family-Freindly films, R-Rated Comedies, and films that advance the art of making movies with our AMC Artisan Films program featuring films from Wes Anderson and Celine Song. During the month of June there are also a couple of incredible AMC Thrills and Chills selections, that includes the newest installment from Stephen King.

Here’s a list of the movies you should see in June.

Past Lives

A24 brings the story of two old friends, Nora and Hae Sung from director Celine Song. The AMC Artisan Film, is about two deeply connected childhood friends, are wrest apart after Nora's family emigrates from South Korea. Two decades later, they are reunited in New York for one fateful week as they confront notions of destiny, love, and the choices that make a life, in this heartrending modern romance.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse

Miles Morales returns for the next chapter of the Oscar®-winning Spider-Verse saga, SPIDER-MAN: ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE. In the highly-anticipated sequel, Miles is catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence. But when the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, the spectacular Spidey, finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and must redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most. From the footage we screened at Cinemacon, SPIDER-MAN: ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE will be an action-packed and emotional journey for Miles and Gwen.

The Boogeyman

Our newest AMC Thrills & Chills selection is from the master of horror, Stephen King. THE BOOGEYMAN is just one of several upcoming movies based on books. High school student Sadie Harper and her younger sister Sawyer are reeling from the recent death of their mother and aren’t getting much support from their father, Will, a therapist who is dealing with his own pain. When a desperate patient unexpectedly shows up at their home seeking help, he leaves behind a terrifying supernatural entity that preys on families and feeds on the suffering of its victims. Transformers: Rise of the Beasts

Returning to the action and spectacle that have captured moviegoers around the world, TRANSFORMERS: RISE OF THE BEASTS will take audiences on a ‘90s globetrotting adventure with the Autobots and introduce a whole new breed of Transformer – the Maximals – to the existing battle on earth between Autobots and Decepticons, featuring one of the most anticipated villains of 2023. Directed by Steven Caple Jr. and starring Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback.

Asteroid City

ASTEROID CITY, from visionaly director, Wes Anders and an ensemble cast that features Tom Hanks, Scarlett Johansson, Jason Schwartzman, Tilda Swinton, Steve Carell, Jeffrey Wright and Jeff Goldblum. The AMC Artisan Film, ASTEROID CITY is the story of the Junior Stargazer/Space Cadet convention that is spectacularly disrupted by world-changing events.

Elemental

Disney and Pixar’s ELEMENTAL is an all-new, original feature film set in Element City, where fire-, water-, land- and air-residents live together. The story introduces Ember, a tough, quick-witted and fiery young woman, whose friendship with a fun, sappy, go-with-the-flow guy named Wade challenges her beliefs about the world they live in. From the exclusive footage during CinemaCon, ELEMENTAL is going to heat up your summer.

The Blackening

THE BLACKENING centers around a group of Black friends who reunite for a Juneteenth weekend getaway only to find themselves trapped in a remote cabin with a twisted killer. Forced to play by his rules, the friends soon realize this ain't no game. The R-Rated Comedy is directed by Tim Story and co-written by Tracy Oliver and Dewayne Perkins, skewering genre tropes and poses the sardonic question: if the entire cast of a horror movie is Black, who dies first?

The Flash

THE FLASH is directed by Andy Muschietti and features Ezra Miller, reprising his role as Barry Allen in the first-ever standalone feature film for the Flash. Worlds collide in this epic thriller, when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past. When his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are is only one superhero to turn to, the Batman. Michael Keaton returns as the Caped Crusader and with the help of Barry Allen, they save an imprisoned Kryptonian… albeit not the one we all are expecting.

God Is a Bullet

When detective Bob Hightower finds his ex-wife murdered and daughter kidnapped by a satanic cult, he quits the police force, gets tattoos, and infiltrates the cult to hunt down the charismatic cult leader, Cyrus, with the help of the cult's only female escapee, Case Hardin. Bob is led down the rabbit hole to save his daughter while Case seizes the opportunity to claim back her power. GOD IS A BULLET features Game Of Thrones actor, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as Bob Hightower.

No Hard Feelings

Jennifer Lawrence produces and stars in the R-Rated Comedy, NO HARD FEELINGS. A laugh-out-loud, edgy comedy from director Gene Stupnitsky. On the brink of losing her childhood home, Maddie discovers an intriguing job listing: wealthy helicopter parents looking for someone to “date” their introverted 19-year-old son, Percy, before he leaves for college. To her surprise, Maddie soon discovers the awkward Percy is no sure thing.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny

In one of our most anticipated movies of 2023, Harrison Ford returns to the role of the legendary hero archaeologist for the final installment of the iconic franchise. An epic, globe-trotting, rip-roaring cinematic adventure directed by James Mangold and features the legendary composer John Williams, who has scored each Indy adventure since the original "Raiders of the Lost Ark" in 1981. Co-starring with Ford are Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Antonio Banderas, John Rhys-Davies, Toby Jones, Boyd Holbrook and Mads Mikkelsen - as the mysterious and dangerous villain.

Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken

Sometimes the hero you are meant to be lies just beneath the surface. This summer, DreamWorks Animation dives into the turbulent waters of high school with a hilarious, heartfelt action comedy about a shy teenager who discovers that she's part of a legendary royal lineage of mythical sea krakens and that her destiny, in the depths of the oceans, in RUBY GILLMAN, TEENAGE KRAKEN.
